TINT having a meeting with the IAEA experts on Independent Safety Culture Assessment (ISCA) during 24 – 26 January 2023

On 24 January 2023, Assoc. Prof. Thawatchai Onjun, Ph.D., Executive Director of Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology (Public Organization) or TINT organized a meeting with the experts from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding the Independent Safety Culture Assessment (ISCA). ISCA is a peer review programme of the IAEA offered to the Member States--to obtain advice in enhancing safety culture in the organization. The first ISCA mission was conducted in 2019 following the Operational Safety Review Team (OSART) programme, ISCA guidelines, and IAEA Services Series 32. After the first assessment, TINT has improved the organization’s safety areas and its working processes following the recommendation and suggestion obtained from the IAEA. This event is a follow-up meeting from the 2019 first mission aiming to assess the progress that has been made leading to the improvement of the organization safety culture which is a high priority of TINT.
